Questions

Steel frame buildings questions

Updated September 2026

Is a steel frame building better than post frame?

It depends on the job. Steel frame costs more up front but gives the widest clear spans, resists rot, termites and fire, and needs little upkeep. Post frame is usually the most affordable and fastest to build.

For large commercial spaces, warehouses and heavy equipment, steel often wins. For most farm shops, garages and barndominiums, post frame does.

What are steel frame buildings used for?

Large commercial spaces, warehouses, municipal buildings, agricultural buildings and any operation that needs clear-span room or runs heavy equipment inside.

Do you build steel frame buildings in Nebraska?

Yes. We build in Iowa and Nebraska from Council Bluffs, including the Omaha and Lincoln areas.
